I had attempted to log work I did at QUT but truth be told, I wasn't able to do it, I found myself too busy.

I'm pretty damn bad at blogging it seems.

Trueclear

A friend of mine who runs by the name of 'Dicko' has created a custom transparent HUD for Team Fortress 2; coincidently called the "TrueClear Mod". The mod makes all the red/blue block parts which are found on the hud and the semi-transparent block sections transparent.

This is a very useful mod if you're someone who doesn't like distractions on their screen or likes to see every little bit of detail, or if you just hate those red and blue blocks on the screen. The mod removes the borders and just leaves the important information there.

The mod can be downloaded here.

To install it, drop the materials folder into your Steam/steamapps/*/team fortress 2/tf directory, where * is the username you use on steam (read the readme file). Note as well: This mod will only work on servers which aren't "Pure 2" servers, you can tell which these are as they don't allow any custom content from clients - such as sprays.

Thanks to Dicko for notifing me himself

Finally got the template half done. I borrowed Andy Miller's template to make some alterations but I've got a lot left to do, such as the main body template. The format will be kept the same. I've had enough of doing dark templates.

As before, this site's existance is basically going to be for my artworks and other things while I'm at university. Content will come up throughout March and the rest of the year.

 Blah.

It's significantly harder to make a Joomla theme when there aren't any decent tutorials.

This will take a while.

Lazy. PDF Print E-mail

Unfortunately, I've been lazy as of past late. Very lazy. I've been meaning to get the site up and running since god knows when but I haven't been motivated enough. Amongst other priorities I've been looking for work and for the past year, I've been working on University projects. Before coming back here I've been meaning to knock other things over to get them out of the way but it doesn't seem like it'll be happening soon. Maybe I should just start working on this site once again.

This, is UltimaWorks. My domain and home for the things I make and publish, such as my artwork, music, game reviews, tutorials and information on some upcoming game projects. Right now I am a student at university, learning game animation. For most of my life, it has been centred around video games. I've been interested in many things about it.

This site has had a past but it really hasn't been a good one. There was never really has been content on this website. Every time there was, I'd scrap the site and start again. This had been going on each year since it's birth. Believe it or not, it's its 8th one now. This is it's last major overhaul.

Originally the site was created as my own personal site to experiment on. This was way back in 2000 I believe. I got a hold of Ulead 3D pro which was an application that let you generate 3D text. It was designed for creating graphics for website. I eventually got into HTML and into creating graphics. During 2003 I got into artwork and "The games factory", a game development studio, which eventually turned the site into a games portal.

In 2005 the site went down after no production and was made into a personal community but that went down too as a failure. In 2006 it was made as a personal site and wasn't updated until 2007. In 2008 I started university and didn't even look at the site.

After a lot of professional study work I realised I needed a web site to host my art and the things I produced. Again however, It needed to be consistent for the first time in it's life. I've never been happy with it.

As of right now I'm working on designing a suitable theme. Actually publishing it for Joomla's going to be a pain. I'm still used to Xoop's template method.

Oh well.
